I find it difficult at the moment to throw my support to any of the current crop of Republican hopefuls. Certainly I'll support whoever wins the nomination (with the possible exception of Ron Paul) to run against the incompetent incumbent.
I'm not a Bachmann fan. While I think she would do a better job than the current Idiot-in-Chief, she suffers from some of the same shortcomings as our Dear Leader. Primarily, she, like obama, is an ideologue. Not that being an ideologue is necessarily bad, but those types rarely make good leaders and Obama is proof of that. Bachmann would make a good minority whip in the house. She would be terrific at getting the Republicans in the House to keep to their game. But as Leader of the free world? Not so much. She does not have the resume and the depth. She does have a bit more experience at Government than Obama ever had, but it's not enough. She has little, if any executive experience and frankly, that is probably the most important experience to have if you are going to run a country.
Paul is too old, too racist, too isolationist, and no Republican in their right mind should even consider supporting him. He is often described as "America's Crazy Uncle" and with good reason. Sorry Paultards, but my opinion hasn't changed since 2008 and I doubt it will, even if by some aberration that he does get the Republican nod, I would sit out the election. Principle would preclude me from voting for either Obama or Paul. Maybe I'd move to Canada!
Cain, Perry, Pawlenty and Romney are the only names in the hat with any executive experience. I'm not overly excited about any of them.
For now, I'm content to sit and watch.
