One More Birthday, but the most important!
I know that with the birth of my granddaughter (and I have
another one due in a few days) I’ve been off the political wagon a bit, but
today is my Dad’s birthday.
The Old Buffalo will be 79 years old and he’s still going
strong, playing his tuba in a little brass band.
We call him “The Old Buffalo” because of an incident that
happened a long time ago. Some trucker on a CB called him that, commenting on
some old buffalo riding with this cute chick in the same car. The cute chick was my sister.
In any case, there are four of us; the youngest is 49, and
me, the oldest, at 53. He’s our Dad and
you won’t find four people who love their Dad more than us. You won’t find a man who loves his kids,
grandkids and great-grandkids more than him.
So Happy Birthday, Papa VW!
I love you!

Three Years Old
A short note to all on the occasion of my 3rd Blogiversary. (This will stay on top until the 16th, scroll down for new posts.)
Let me say that I appreciate all of my readers and especially everyone's comments. They add so much to my own rantings. I used to be somewhat lax in responding and I'm sure It didn't do much for repeat readers. I really am trying to be better at responding. It might take me more time then some, but I will try my best to get back to you. I don't mean to slight anyone.
My day job keeps me pretty busy and Mrs. VW would like to keep me busier. Add to all that the fact that when I sit down to write something, it takes a bit of time. I try to make it readable. I spend time checking my facts and trying to catch my typos and gaffes. (I don't always catch them but that's life.)
Again, thank you for reading, especially those who take the time to add to the discussion.
