I've never really liked any of the Republican hopefuls for a variety of reasons. I had some hopes for Herman Cain and in the end, it wasn't the allegations of harassment that sealed the deal, it was just the plain fact that the man was not ready for prime time. I had hopes that he might school himself on somethings, but he never seemed to grasp the foreign policy thing. I was off the "Cain Train" before it completely derailed.
For the past several weeks, I've flirted with supporting Gingrich, but I just can't get behind him. He has some great ideas and would be an asset in a Republican administration, but Newt is not an leader. He's not someone who inspires. He has a lot of baggage as well. He's just not Presidential material.
Perry was a no brainer. He's a slick politician that appears to be more opportunist than anything else. His performance in the debates has been horrible. Not ready for prime time either.
Ron Paul? Please. I wouldn't vote for that old racist, anti-Semitic bastard. I'd vote for Obama first which means I probably wouldn't even vote at all.
So that leaves Mitt. I don't dislike Mitt, I actually think he might do a decent job - certainly better than the idiot we have now. But there is just something that turns me off. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the flip-flop factor. That said, I guess I'll support him. He's the best of the bunch and he's certainly better than Obama will ever be. So on to November. Unless someone comes out of nowhere to change my mind, I am officially on board with Romney.
