The Democrats and MSM are up in arms because a couple bricks were thrown through campaign offices of Democrat Congressmen and some threats were made.   Let’s take a little trip back in time around the  2004 Presidential Campaign.

The tires of at least 30 cars and vans rented by the Republican Party to carry voters to the polls were slashed, Milwaukee police said this morning. The discovery was made at 6:30 a.m., said Sgt. Mark Wroblewski.

Cars displaying bumper stickers in support of US President George W. Bush that were parked at Denver International Airport have allegedly been vandalised by an Air Force Reserve Lieutenant Colonel who could now face criminal charges.

A group of protesters stormed and then ransacked a Bush-Cheney headquarters building in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday, according to Local 6 News.

Galax Police say they’re investigating a strange attack at the Republican Party headquarters in the city. Officers tell WSLS that shortly before 1:00 p.m. Monday, a man and woman went inside the office on Grayson Street.  Then, police say the man, Daniel Meinecke, physically assaulted one of the Republican campaign workers.  Police also say the woman, Cara Hindman, sprayed pepper mace on five Republican campaign workers.

Offices that house President Bush's re-election campaign in Spokane were broken into and vandalized last night, the latest in a string of crimes at Republican offices across the country.

County Republican Party Vice Chairman Fred Norton said…police told him someone had thrown what looked like sections of concrete curb through the window.

A man apparently enraged by a Bush-Cheney sticker on a woman’s sport utility vehicle chased her for miles and tried to run her off the road while holding up an anti-Bush sign, police said. “He told our officers that he just got mad at her, so he went after her,” said police spokesman Joe Durkin.

This was more than a couple bricks being thrown;  people were physically assaulted.  Where was the outrage of the MSM and Democrats?   Why weren’t accusations of inciting violence made against Congressional Democrats and DNC leaders?  Why wasn’t ACORN taken to task by the MSM?

Unbelievable

A 15 year old girl can have an abortion without her parents permission.   But, the FDA is banning teenagers from tanning booths unless they have their parents permission.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. – Federal health experts say more restrictions are needed to protect teenagers from the cancer risks of tanning beds, including a potential ban for people under 18.

A panel of advisers to the Food and Drug Administration recommended Thursday that the agency put tighter controls on artificial tanning, ranging from requiring parental consent forms to banning the practice in younger teens.

“Given the absence of any demonstrated benefit, I think it’s an obligation for us to ban artificial tanning for those under 18,” said panelist Dr. Michael Olding…

More than 30 states already have tanning salon regulations in place — including a handful that require parental consent — but new FDA requirements would apply nationally.

Your teenage daughter can’t go into a tanning booth unless she has YOUR permission but she can have an abortion without your permission.   How in the world can they justify that?

I Understand It, But I Don't Condone It.

It appears that there might be a few who people are upset about this piece of crap Healthcare fiasco and they might be doing some things they shouldn't be doing.  I understand their fears and frustrations with a political party that essentially just spat on them.  People are angry...Hell, I'm angry that these wannabe commies are acting like we are too stupid to think for ourselves.  It's despicable and frankly, despite their name, the whole thing was as anti-democratic as a Cuban election.

Then you hear something like this from a ranking Congressman:

Did you catch that?  Congressman John Dingell of Michigan said:

It takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps to put the legislation together to control the people.

If people are pissed, this is a big reason why.

It's not time for the pitchforks and torches.  It is time to remember in November and fire everyone of these Democrat bastards that supported this bill.  Stupid Stupak and John Dingell-berry are two of the worst.

All that said, I'm not completely buying the hype about threats.  When you look at recent history, it's not the Conservatives who have the history of violence.

How to Work Miracles and Get Re-elected

  Now that Leader Obama and his Socialist-Democratic Party (which should by all rights now be called the National Socialist Democrats of America Party or NSDAP - you can google NSDAP for further clarification) has healed the sick and the lame by shoving their national healthcare reform legislation down our collective throats and up our collective butts, one must now wonder what they will next whip out of their bag of miracles and magic tricks. One would think that surely he must now address and remedy that one great big thorny issue which so many increasingly dissentious and potentially unruly peasants and proletariats are hollering about - job creation. Can the Communist Organizer-in-Chief, in his infinite wisdom and ability, find a way to calm the stormy sea by creating jobs and lowering unemployment figures?

Obama doesn't really have to come up with a new and original idea. He could just borrow an idea from the same folks who provide him with so many other ideas and who came up with the original cash-for-clunkers program - Germany. (You don't really believe he thinks up all this stuff by himself, do you?) Why not? He's already using all kinds of their ideas, methods, and means which they've been trying out over there as far back as March 23, 1933. Coincidentally, believe it or not, it was on the 77th anniversary of the enactment of the Ermächtigungsgesetz (Enabling Act) by the German Parliament in 1933 which gave Adolf Hitler complete power and established his dictatorship that Obama signed his own Enabling Act in the form of the healthcare reform bill.

Today, in Germany there is another already existing model which our current government administration may be considering to implement here to address these pesky unemployment problems we're having. Well, what I'm saying is, if I was in his shoes and had his unscrupulous intentions, I would consider it. 

Germany has a current program for creating jobs and working the numbers out in such a way that things don't look so bad. You see, unemployment in Germany is also a very big problem and has been for some time, even before the current economic meltdown. Back in 2005, the German government created the "one- euro job" program which pays about one euro an hour. A euro today is approximately $1.34.

These jobs are for those who are unemployed and receiving unemployment compensation and provide additional financial compensation. These jobs are also intended to assist the unemployed persons in finding their way into permanent full-time employment. The maximum working time is 30 hours a week.

Now here's where some number-crunching manipulative chicanery comes in which Obama and his gang will definitely find appealing and quite practical for their purposes. Over there in Germany, anyone who is working a one-euro job for 15 or more hours a week is no longer considered by the German government as being officially unemployed! This facilitates embellishment of official unemployment statistics. And as of this month, one-euro jobs in Germany are mandatory for all jobless persons who are receiving unemployment compensation. Anyone failing to accept such a job will no longer receive any social security unemployment compensation. These jobs are typically public service activities, urban construction work, street sweeping, picking up debris, removing graffitti, and stuff like that.

Wouldn't it be perfect for Comrade Leader Obama and the Democrats if they could implement something like this in time for an election? Maybe even improve on it a little. Make it a two-dollar job. Then they could say that they created jobs, significantly lowered unemployment statistics, and got their volunteer/mandatory Obama Civilian Corps off to a good start. They could even pay for a work wardrobe for the newly employed. You know, some nifty uniforms with boots and berets which should also add to the appeal. By golly, who says government can't create jobs.

After calming the stormy sea, and then perhaps healing the leapers (as in border leapers) with some kind of immigration reform, he might even be able to convince us all, on just his word alone, that he can walk on the water, baby! Hey, maybe they could use that somehow in coming up with a catchy re-election campaign slogan.

Obama Has Resurrected America

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America's future. He is the best thing ever.
Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America's resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That's why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they've gotten off the fence. They've woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.

Now, It's Visceral

The passage of this healthcare bill is the last straw.  It's personal.  The Democrats can no longer call themselves "Democratic".  They don't care what we, the people, think.  If you came away thinking the Democrats care one whit about you, you are either stupid, or...well, your stupid.  You are an idiot.  If you think this bill will in any way make healthcare cheaper, reduce the deficit, and/or create jobs, you are permanently stuck on stupid.  You are incapable of rational thought.

The Democrats like to charge that Bush "shredded" the Constitution. He did nothing of the sort.  Yesterday, however, the Democrats did not just shred the Constitution, they recycled it and made it into toilet paper and are now wiping their collective Socialist asses with it.  Again, if you think this is anywhere close to what the founders of this nation envisioned, you are as stupid as a post.

The beginning of the end to freedom started with FDR and his so-called "New Deal" which actually lengthened the Great Depression.  Social Security, which was enacted during his time is now bankrupt.  The Democrats started robbing it in the sixties to pay for LBJ's "great society".  Instead of money in an account with your name on it, there is nothing but a stack of moldy IOUs.  It's all been spent.  Medicare is also about to go broke.  They pretty much robbed it to help pay for this fiasco they just passed.  Now they ask - nay, demand - that we trust them with this.  Once more, if you think you can trust this group of thugs, liars and crooks, you are stupid, perhaps even a moron.  Your IQ is equal to that of a week-old, used condom. You should most likely not be allowed out without supervision.  I'm not kidding.

Now that the Democrats have showed us that they care nothing for your opinion and think you are too stupid to think for yourselves (and you might be if you agree with this healthcare bill), it's time to go to work.

I know, we are all fired up, but sometimes, the flames have a tendency to die out after a few weeks.  We cannot let this happen.  If you are angry, you need to stay angry.  If you are fired up, throw gasoline on that fire.  Every time you feel like slowing down, look at a picture of Pelosi, Reid and Obama and remember what they did to liberty last night.

Decide to fight.  Work to throw these bums out of office.  Give money and time.  Make it personal, make it your fight.  Do not let up.

I will surely be doing my share.

To paraphrase the great Winston Churchill:  Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if America and her freedoms and liberty last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'

The Great Healthcare Debacle

Editing Note:  Sheesh, I should proofread more carefully.  Fixed some small things and finished the last sentence in the last paragraph before my last two lines.  It's what happens when I rush.

Wow!  Just wow!  Democrats, we are often (and by often I mean in just about every thing written or reported about them in the MSM) told, are for the little guy.  They must be for democracy because they get a little testy if you say "the Democrat Party" instead of the more populist sounding "Democratic Party".  They take great pains to make you think they mean democratic with the "little d".  The inference is that they reflect the will of the electorate.  It's becoming increasing clear that that is more illusion than reality.

In truth, all political parties are about power and keeping it.  The Republicans in the past few years succumbed to the glittering fob of spending money in the hopes of gaining some favor with the populace and the net result was the Democrats, who promised us fiscal responsibility if we voted the bums out, was returned to power.  Of course, barely over a year into their total domination of the Congress and Whitehouse, they have managed to out deficit the previous 43 administrations and are on course to creat a deficit larger than all of them combined.  Hope and change but, I digress.  This isn't specifically about spending, it's about how the Democrats couldn't care less how you think or what you want.  Stupid prole!

The Democrats are about to try, by any means legal or illegal, constitutional or unconstitutional, to pass some kind of health care reform bill.  Never mind that most of the people in the country are dead seat against the government taking over health care and especially the Senate Bill, they are going to pass it and you will like it. 

The Democrats like to blame their failure on their inability to get their message out, not on their bad legislation.  They truly think you and I are so stupid, we wouldn't come out of the rain unless they pass a law telling us to do so.  They blame talk radio, Fox News, and anyone else that disagrees with them for disseminating lies.  Never mind that the MSM is, and has been, in the tank for the Democrats for decades.  Never mind that MSNBC is all Leftists, all the time.  It's the messenger not the message.  They also say their failure thus far is that people are bewildered by the process, not the bill and once we get past their gyrating antics to pass the bill, we'll all love it 5 years down the road from now when it actually starts to take affect.

This brings us down to the parliamentary shenanigans that will play out this week.  They put a bill on the table (which includes a form of "death panel", a public option and take over of the student loan system). All of this is supposed to be amended in the Rules Committee.  Apparently there are rules and then there are rules and it seems that only the Rules Committee is the only one who really knows them.

I consider myself reasonably intelligent and frankly, I'm somewhat mystified over this whole process.  Fox News has a piece that tries to explain it all.  I understand it, but the whole entire process is as arcane and convoluted as anything I've ever encountered. 

Regardless of the outcome, the Democrats do not give a damn about how anyone thinks on this issue.  They want to "fix" healthcare and they are in charge and by all that is unholy, they intend to do just that.  They don't care because most of them know that it will likely never be repealed and when they regain the majority at some future date they will attempt to add even more.

So shut up, you stupid prole!  The Democrats know what is good for you!

Stolen Valor

Here in Tacoma, there is a blog called "Lights & Sirens" .  It's a newspaper blog staffed by the local crime reporters and they report on all things "lights and sirens" related.  The report on crime, accidents and related topics that happen in our county.  The other day, they asked a question concerning  an op-ed by Jonathan Turley in USA Today. 

Should wearing unearned military medals continue to be a crime?

They cite a couple of local idiots that got caught and convicted.

There have been at least two men with local ties convicted of wearing unearned military medals during the past few years: Reggie Buddle and Steve Bennest.

Reggie posed as a Marine Chaplian and Bennest tried to squeeze out a few extra VA bennies.  There is another local twit they forgot about named Jesse MacBeth who got involved with the Iraq Veterans Against The War (IVAW).  Jesse told tales of slaughter and war crimes before being outed as a fraud. 

Mr. Turley argues:

We can all agree that false claims of military honors are repugnant and worthy of social condemnation. These men deserve to be social pariahs, but there remains a serious question over whether they deserve to be criminal defendants. We should spend our time and resources on creating easily accessible resources to uncover false claims. We also need to remember that, in the end, true valor cannot be stolen. It can only be earned. What is left are pathetic pretenders who should not add constitutional injury to social insult.

In other words, we should make it easy to expose them.  And once they are exposed, we should just look down upon these misguided twits and not invite them to our next cocktail party.  Right. 

Some folks try to make the claim that we will make criminals out of halloween costume wearers and actors performing on a stage.  If the law is written that loosely, then it needs to be changed. 

I remember back in the seventies when it was tres chic for the hippies to wear military uniform pieces, medals and the like.  I didn't like it, but I saw it as harmless.  The harm (and this is where any legal guns should be aimed) is when someone uses unearned medals, rank or official recognition in order to pad their resume, or receive some financial benefit (either government or private) and or for some some criminal purpose.  If you think it will get you elected by falsley claiming that you won a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart, then you should be subject to a fraud charge.

Mr. Turley is correct, you cannot steal true valor, you can steal the adulation and rewards  To me, its a lot like counterfeit money.  It just doesn't rob the person you pass it to, it robs all of us.  It literally can weaken currency if someone prints enough (Like North Korea tried to do a while back) and it then makes every other 50 dollar bill in your wallet suspect.  If a soldier who truly was a combat veteran with awards for valor comes along, instead of taking him at face value, we look at him with a certain amount of skepticism.

Yes, it should continue to be a crime.  It is a misdemeanor, but I would suggest that if you falsely claim a Bronze Star and above, or receive some tangible benefit, then it should be a felony.

The Chicago Way?

One of the congresscritters Obama is trying to "persuade" to vote yes on his health scam bill has a brother.  Obama just announced that the brother was just nominated for a federal judgeship on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. From The Weekly Standard:

Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

John Hinderaker, of Powerline Fame and a practicing attorney says he doesn't think it's related.  

As to the Matheson nomination, I think the criticism is not well-founded. That doesn't mean that Obama didn't have one eye on Congressman Jim Matheson when he selected Professor Scott Matheson for the 10th Circuit. No one will ever know, probably. But Professor Matheson would be an ideal choice for Obama even if he didn't have a brother in Congress.

John goes on to say that Matheson is a qualified, albeit liberal, candidate in his own right and that very well may be the case. However, given the sordid reputation of Chicago/Illinois politics, it seems suspicious.

I may not be an attorney, but I have a sense of smell and this just doesn't smell like fresh fish.
