Pain - UPDATE

I knew this day was coming for about 6 months now.  The dentist found a cracked tooth.  He warned me that at some point, it would become very painful and unfortunately, the nature of the crack would make saving the tooth impossible.  Well yesterday it started and I tried to keep it at bay, but it is now screaming for attention.  I should have made an appointment right away, but I thought I knew better.  I didn't.

I have a 7 AM appointment for tomorrow.

They pulled the offending tooth and I'm home recuperating.  If I feel better later, I might write something but for now, I'm laying low.

Have you seen "Castaway," where Tom Hanks' character has to *remove* a tooth by chiseling it out with the business end of an ice skate and a rock? Hopefully, your extraction went better than that.

I could see myself with doing similar if the situation arose. Tooth pain is among the worst!

I'm on some nice pain drugs and so that makes alcohol a no-no. Tomorrow, I might sip a beer or two.
