Hopefully, the saga is just about over. This afternoon, I had the tooth extracted that was killing me over the weekend. I spent two hours in the chair while the dentist worked like hell to get this thing out. The last root was a killer. As hard as he tried to numb that last nerve, it didn't work. He was frustrated and I was in agony. Finally, I just said go for it.
He went for it. I was in agony as he grabbed that last piece and rocked it out of its socket. Despite the intense pain, I was so relieved. It was worth it. With today's temperature hovering in the sauna range, we both were covered in sweat.
It isn't too awfully bad at the moment. The pain meds are keeping it at bay. I should be back tomorrow, ready to take on the the world.

I see that Seattle may hit its highest temperatures in recorded history today or tomorrow. While here in Kansas City we're in a cool spell. The furthest northern point of Alaska was warmer than KC yesterday.
