Is it just me, or are there others that also think this huge dust-up between Rush Limbaugh and the Kremlin-on-the-Potomac to be somewhat humorous? I understand what our new Socialist masters are trying to do. They think if they can demonize him and then marginalize him. I don't think it's working and it might even have the opposite effect if they keep pushing this line. Some folks who never listened to him just might tune in and like what they hear
I don't listen to Rush much. I work in a maintenance shop and I'm often out on the maintenance floor and it just isn't possible to listen to anything but crap music no one likes and no one objects to. If I have to be out and about on company business, I'll listen to Rush if I get a chance and even then, it will probably be for just short time. I get about 15 minutes of Hannity on my drive home, but that is the extent of my talk radio listening.
The liberals hate Rush because he's effective. They hate him for his audience and for the number of radio stations he's heard on. It's something they've tried hard to duplicate and subsequently been rewarded with epic failure for their efforts. So now, they are taking a two pronged assault toward him and talk radio as a whole.
First is in some kind of regulation. They either advocate for the badly named "Fairness Doctrine" which they know is blatantly unconstitutional, or they want to limit the number of stations a network can own and structure the license rules to make it almost impossible for a local station to carry network programming. Either way, the primary purpose is to hush Rush and other network conservative talkers.
The second is what is going on now, the demonization of Limbaugh. Rush is the bogeyman, the devil incarnate behind a golden microphone. They are trying to make political hay out of his wish that Obama fails in turning this country into some kind of European style socialist quagmire. When I had a liberal hack ask me why Limbaugh wants Obama to fail, I asked her this: When did you wish for George W. Bush to succeed? She tried to hem and haw around it, but in the end, she just changed the subject and when I tried to change it back, she all of a sudden had somewhere else to be.
Like I said, in the end, I believe this will end up backfiring on the Obama Administration. The bullies just might have picked on the wrong kid this time.

Obama wants to take this nation in a direction that's diametrically opposed to its founding and principals. If he succeeds in doing this, the nation we know will cease to exist. It's guys like Rush, Hannity, Savage, and other Conservatives that are sounding the alarm and Obama's minions need to silence them. Let's hope Obama's attacks on Rush and the others will only lead to more Americans wanting to know what all the fuss is about.
