Obama is finding it hard to fill the Commerce Secretary post. His last couple of picks didn't pan out so well. His first pick has a corruption problem a la Blago, and his second one couldn't stomach Obama's agenda.
So now it appears Obama finally found someone willing to take this apparent dead end job. If all the scuttlebutt is true, he's chosen Gary Locke. Locke is a former two term governor of the state of Washington whose legacy is one of unbounded mediocrity. He became so unpopular by the end of his second term, he didn't even try to run for a third. WA has no term limitations. Locke is also remembered for his lackluster rebuttal to W's first State of the Union. He was never heard from again in national party circles.
Obama is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
