Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire (or "Fraudoire" as she is sometimes known or Governor of Seattle as we also sometimes refer to her because she won on a third recount after Seattle/King County handed her the necessary votes on a third recount to allow her to win by just 129 votes) is claiming racism. She beat Dino Rossi and this year, it's a rematch.
First, between the Governor and her Democrat majorities in the house and Senate, they have spent us damn near into bankruptcy. She is looking at a 2.7 BILLION dollar shortfall next year. That's after we posted surpluses. All of that was spent and then some.
The election campaign is turning somewhat nasty. The pure as the driven snow Democrats, who would never go negative, aired a campaign ad about Dino Rossi and it was done to the theme music of the Sopranos. When Italian-Americans called it racist, the democrats changed the background music to some generic theme. The Democrats, of course, claimed it was just an innocent thing, they just liked the music, capice?
A pro Rossi organization put out this ad:
Now, Governor Fraudoire is claiming racism.
"They made stuff up about the tribes - and the ad, by the way, I think is racist," Gregoire said. "I think this whole thing is racist, and I'm totally offended by it.
Why is it racist you ask? No one seems to know except Queen Chrissy. What she is offended by is that it is the truth.
It is what it is and it isn't racist.. She gave the tribes a windfall of about 140 million and they gave her 250 thousand.
Not a bad return for the money, huh?

Don't you see? The Democrats play that card because the Republicans won't do it for them. Obama waited and waited for someone to make some comment about him being "different", and when nobody would (because frankly, it doesn't matter what your ethnic background is, either you can do the job or you can't) HE started playing the race card. And now Gregoire is doing the same thing? It just goes to show that if you're a Democrat and you find you can't get ahead the honest way, you whine and snivel about race (and recounts!) until you get what you want. What a crock!

WHAT!?!?! That is a really crappy return. I would have thought AT LEAST 1%, 1.4 mil, but a piddley ass 1/4 mil talk about low self value.

I never really know how racist the Dems were until the presidential race. They always claimed it was the Republicans, but hey ... we grew up, moved on, unlike them.
