It's time again for the Impeachment Follies starring Dennis "Don Quixote" Kucinich.
Kucinich was offering his second impeachment resolution, which unlike last month's with its more than 30 articles, has just a single article of impeachment. Kucinich said he boiled it down to focus on the main issues he has with the president's decision to go to war in Iraq.
You have to wonder if this guy really wants to push impeachment or just grab a headline every so often. Unfortunately, he's just bat sh*t insane enough to believe his own crap so he probably is pushing it for real and it appears that Nancy Pelosi is tossing him some peanuts to keep him mollified.
I've said this time and again, if the Democrats had actual legal grounds to impeach, they would have done so from jump street in 2006. With six months left before the President leaves office, there isn't enough time for it to happen. In a couple of weeks, they will break for the August recess. They will come back in September for a couple of weeks and then break for elections and campaigning. They will reconvene again in November for a few weeks, break for Thanksgiving week and then split again in December for the holidays. By the time they are done, a new Congress will have been elected, Bush will be gone and a new President inaugurated.
It's time to tell Kookcinich to quit wasting time and money on this Quixotic quest.

With all the breaks, Congress doesn't seem that bad of a job. Shoot, it's the only one I know of where you get paid under $200,000 per year and after only a few years come out a multi-millionaire.

It is a ploy to keep the Republicans in a bad light because Ballsack keeps trying to screw up his election chances by openning his mouth.

Bobf, it's good work if you can get it. But then you'd have to sell your soul.!
WMD: I dunno. Kucinich just plain marches to the beat of a different bassoon.
