He steps into the remaining light
The crowd goes wild
He's outa sight
Arms held high in the sign of peace
His manager signed the one night lease
The house is full getting high
He's afraid he's gonna die
He's the apple of their eye
(He struts, he strolls)
(His love is rock 'n' roll)
He's the VETERAN COSMIC ROCKERRay Thomas of The Moody Blues
Well he isn't much a of a veteran anything except panderer, but a couple of things made me think of this song by the great Moody Blues. First is the fact hat he is set to give his acceptance speech at Iveco Stadium instead of the traditional convention hall. The second is his possible speech at the storied and hallowed Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
Hell, we might as well just crown him king him and get it over with. Understandably, some Germans, despite his popularity there, are a little upset about him making a speech at the Gate. He's not elected and it would seem to be meddling in our elections to give him such status.
But he's Barack and he is infallible. He never makes mistakes or flipflops, he just nuances. He is the Messiah - or so some people, including most of the media, would like us to think.
He'll probably get a good bounce from both performances. His manager signed the one night lease.
He's the Rookie Cosmic Baracker!
It's also called the cult of personality.

As I wrote earlier:
"Obama is the Poster Child for the Cult of Personality, and the perfect foil for a brainless electorate: black, somewhat handsome, well dressed, well spoken (unless pandering strictly to a black audience), multi-syllabic and to many, completely mesmerizing.
I shake my head that we are a nation of so many dupes. It isn't about him being black; it's about him being DANGEROUS."
