Violence Hussein Worker...Nah...It just doesn't work for me.
Is it any wonder cult leaders and dictators focus on the cult of personality? Most of them have no resume other than being young revolutionaries or they just have the "god complex". The cult leaders usually have no formal theological training. In order to mold their support, dictators and cult leaders have to sell themselves as some kind of messiah/god and you will surely perish without them. People within religious cults and dictatorships, especially the socialist variety, tend to either take the name of their leader and/or name their children after them. You see the cult of personality in such places as North Korea and Cuba. In a cult called the House of Yahveh, many of its members take the name of Hawkins after the founder of the cult, "Wild" Bill (now Yisrayl) Hawkins.
It's not uncommon for parents to name their children after famous people. I'll bet there are more than a few Hillarys, Britneys, Justins out there. Heck, even Hillary (untruthfully) claimed for awhile that she was named after the famous Mountain Climber, Sir Edmund Hillary. Naming a child after someone famous is not new, but it's a bit different if it's a group of people who think they are involved in some sort of political or religious movement. It gets a little scary. (I've yet to find anyone else named Violence, but someday it might catch on - ya never know.)
Now comes the story about Obama supporters taking on the his middle name as their own:
Emily Nordling has never met a Muslim, at least not to her knowledge. But this spring, Ms. Nordling, a 19-year-old student from Fort Thomas, Ky., gave herself a new middle name on Facebook.com, mimicking her boyfriend and shocking her father. “Emily Hussein Nordling,” her entry now reads.
With her decision, she joined a growing band of supporters of Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who are expressing solidarity with him by informally adopting his middle name.
The result is a group of unlikely-sounding Husseins: Jewish and Catholic, Hispanic and Asian and Italian-American, from Jaime Hussein Alvarez of Washington, D.C., to Kelly Hussein Crowley of Norman, Okla., to Sarah Beth Hussein Frumkin of Chicago.
Obama's political rise is sometimes characterized by critics and supporters alike as being "messianic".
Welcome to the cult of the socialist fellow with no resume.
