Well, I didn’t know if I was going to be up to an Iowa analysis or not. I was really tired when I finally posted something last night and today was a rough day at work. Aside from our normal load of scheduled maintenance, we had all kinds of hell break loose. I normally get home around 3 PM and I finally got here at about 4:15. Anyway, here goes.
First, Iowa settled nothing. To see all the press coverage leading up to yesterday’s caucuses, you’d think the races would be decided on Iowa alone.
A lot of folks are talking about Clinton’s loss as if she has now lost any chance and I say to you, do not count her out. It’s the same with the Huckster. Huckabee hasn’t clinched the Republican nomination by a long shot.
I suspect, as I wrote yesterday, that Clinton will go negative. If she ain’t holding something juicy on Obama, she ain’t Hillary “Rotten” Clinton! I’d almost bet my farm on it – if I had one.
Mitt and McCain will be the top two in New Hampshire and Fred will come in 4th behind Giuliani. Obama has momentum and may ace the Hilldabeast out in NH. If that happens, she may not even be able to use whatever ammo she has stored up. I suspect that she will indeed do well. The easterners like her and Obama will have a tough fight.
All I know is that the fat lady hasn’t yet warmed up and there is a whole lot of politicking to go. Hold on to your bonnets, cuz the political winds are just now getting cranked up.
