All over the blogosphere today is the story of Liberal screecher Randi Rhodes. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this except to say that the left was absolutely despicable in their accusations that it was some right wing maniac, hell-bent on shutting up Ms. Rhodes. The biggest question is why anyone would bother with her. It isn't like she is even that well known! The fact is that it wasn't a mugging, she fell. There is even one semi credible report that she had been drinking. Who knows, but that isn't my main point.
No dear readers that was no hate crime. At best she's a klutz, at worst, she is a drunken klutz.
The hate crime I want to talk about is the hate crime you are committing when you publically display a derogatory depiction of a witch during Halloween.
What's supposed to be a simple Halloween decoration is now brewing up some controversy in Chicopee. One group is calling the decoration a hate crime.
Driving down East Street in Chicopee it's hard not to notice a witch hanging from a noose. To many, it's an innocent Halloween decoration, but for Kelly Lynch it's offensive.
That's why when she saw the life-like witch hanging in someones front yard she went straight to the home owner's door.
"He told me to lighten up, it was a Halloween decoration, I know it's his constitutional right, but I want it down. To make that your only decoration...it's kind of odd, " stresses Lynch.
In other words, screw his rights, my feelings are what are important.
Sorry lady, but you have no right to not be offended.
"It's depicting death. I wouldn't destroy a cross or bash a religion or race, so I don't expect that to happen to me, " adds Lynch.
People bash Christianity all the time. Big Deal.
Halloween is a part of our culture. At what point do we stop the nonsense? No Christmas, no Halloween, no Easter, No Columbus Day, when does it stop? Simply because some aspect of a holiday that has been part and parcel to our culture suddenly offends someone, we have to curtail it.
When do we get to be offended by those that are offended?

That's when you pull out your bible and read to her Exodus 22:18.

She'd be real sore with my crashing door witch. Gee, my neighbors LOVE it and have told me it's their favorite of all my door decorations!
However, somewhere USA there was a fellow who had a hanging figure in his front yard - someone complained to the police - and the police showed up at his door and ordered him to take it down because someone was offended.
All these offended people offend me. How do I get them arrested and out of my sight?

nuts. She's totally nuts. Good god people are comparing it to slavery and bringing up the Salem witch trials. The world has gone crazy.

Fall and injury
On Sunday, October 14, 2007, Rhodes was walking her dog when she fell and sustained injuries that kept her off the air for several days. Air America host Jon Elliott erroneously claimed on his October 15 show that Rhodes had been the victim of a savage mugging. Elliott went on to speculate that this was perhaps not just a random event, and that it may have been politically motivated by conservative right wing factions. [1] Left wing blogs and websites like DemocraticUnderground.com ran with the initial story claiming it was a deliberate attack by right wing extremists. A lawyer for Rhodes subsequently confirmed that the incident was an accident and no crime had taken place. At no point did Rhodes herself falsely claim to have been attacked. [2]

Is she not getting some bad press?
As far as the offending is concerned, Dems and Repubs need to unite vs the common enemy, legal and illegal immigration.
The trivial stuff is still winning after all these years. We're all "nuts."

That fever swamp called the Democratic Underground is likely to say anything. Err America now has the credibility of the NYT. We saw what happened to their stock today.
As for the witch, people don't realize that their freedoms are slipping away day by day.
