Today is the day for football rivalries and perhaps the biggest and best known is that of the University of Michigan and <Blech!> Ohio State.
Sadly, the legendary Bo Schembechler died yesterday on the eve of this huge game and rivalry that he was so much a part of during his years as coach.
Michigan is rated #2 and Ohio State is #1. Screw the BCS. This will be the decider and by all accounts, it should be a helluva game.
GO BLUE!

I always love the lore of Michigan football, especially the Vince Lombardi era of the Green Bay Packers. He was an incredible leader, hard-nosed, inspirational and tough. A few years back Vanity Fair magazine did an article on him and I just thought he was amazing. I have since looked up many famous quotes by Lombardi and have come to admire him a lot. He would've made an excellent general on the battlefield.

They lost it.
I had to watch this game today - my husband is a graduate of UofM. So I had him watching the Michigan vs Ohio and my daughter (graduate of Alabama) watching the Alabama vs Auburn game calling to give husband a hard time about MI and give us updates on Alabama.
My son even im'd from Iraq to find out how the games were going!
So I played on the internet and cleaned house! I'm the non-football person around here. lol
