After reading comments about the Foley Follies by moonbats all over the blogosphere and in particular, Wizbang, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are not anti-corruption. They’ve all been ranting about Foley and Hastert, but when you try and pin them down about why Louisiana Congressman William Jefferson hasn’t resigned after being caught with tens of thousands of bribery bucks in his freezer and why hasn’t Pelosi insisted he resign, they ignore it or change the subject.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An aide to top White House political adviser Karl Rove resigned in the fallout over a congressional report showing many White House contacts with ex-lobbyist Jack Abramoff, a spokeswoman said on Friday.
If we even needed to point-out more corruption by the Republican party. Let's put this one in our back pocket until after Hastert resigns.

Hey Barney,
Can you tell me why Jefferson hasn't resigned and why Pelosi hasn't investigated him and taken responsibility for him?

ya know,; belive it or not some of us out hear have followed Tom(cut-n-run)Delay and the Abramhoff thing for awhile...don't forget ABBY addressed the Republican National Convention as National President of the Young College Republicans...
By the way how is that Bush/Cheney/Republican Senate/House doing on that Iraq thing?
At what point in time wil some of the regulars here admit that maybe..just maybe our current situation is not the fault of Clinton or a biased Press?

Nogo,
I'll explain Rove if you can explain Jefferson. Also, please explain why Pelosi hasn't demanded he resign. Perhaps she is in on the take? Please, why do corrupt Democrats keep collecting a paycheck. We know Pelosi knows about him.
With Rove, if you have evidence that he is guilty of something, perhaps you need to share it with the FBI.

Boo Hoo, family value republicans wonder why they don't get a break when they are caught soliciting a minor and stealing money and selling your vote to the highest paying lobbyist? Hint, go back and read the contract with America!!

That's what I thought Barney. You are so intellectually dishonest, you won't even address the Jefferson issue.
I would answer that we are the party of values and when one of ours is caught being dirty, we get rid of them. Unlike the party of NO values, where they still sit in Congress where they can keep on accepting bribes or molesting pages
You are a good little Democrat sycophant.

VW, I promise not to vote for Jefferson this November, or in any other election. Happy now?
Posted by: BarneyG2000 at October 6, 2006 07:18 PM
Barney, you are so predictable. You can't even say Jefferson should resign. I am laughing and I mean really laughing. You and your fellow moonbat nut jobs don't want to clean up corruption, you just want the power back. If you were honest (and you are not) you'd admit it.

"you just want the power back..."
Gee VW you are so perceptive. You're on to us. We never thought that any republican would be smart enough to figure it out. Yes, the Democrats want to be the majority party in the House, Senate and eventually the Whitehouse. Curse you VW for exposing our plan!!!!!
Posted by: BarneyG2000 at October 6, 2006 09:37 PM
Well Barney, not you, not Hugh, none of you, are really anti-corruption. You won't demand the resignation of your own corrupt officials.
If anyone votes Democrat just because of the Foley fuss, they are really too stupid to even be voting.

I edited a couple of parts out that were not germane to my comments, but the important parts ar still there. You can go to Wizbang to read the whole thread. Barney never responded to that or anyone else after that.
It’s anecdotal, but I think it probably represents the left as a whole. I hear no hew and cry for Jefferson’s head.
Which party is the real party of corruption?
VW

Jeez VW, you've got a real bee in your bonnet over these political shenanigans that have been exposed in the run-up to the elections. I've never seen you so flustered. Are you really that shocked by immorality on both sides? I thought it was par for the course in modern day politics.

I'm against corruption, period. When someone in my party is guilty of misconduct, then they must step down. If there is an accusation, the rule for Republicans is that they step down from leadership until it is resolved and that is as it should be. The hypocrisy of the left is obvious. They have a congressman (William Jefferson, Democrat from Louisianna) who is under indictment for bribery, caught with tens of thousands of bribe bucks in his freezer and there is no demand he step down from his committees. There is no demand from the Democrat leadership that he resign. The Press, has forgotten it.

No, you're clearly only against Democratic corruption, what little there is. Republicans can do as they like in wingnutland.
It's kinda like that little war in Iraq. Rather than going after the real culprits of 9/11, the wingnuts attacked Iraq. And rather than attack those who protect pedophiles, you attack Democrats. You don't even know who the problem is, why should anyone vote for a Republican?

No Dumbass, I'm against all corruption. Foley was right to resign and Delay was right to stepdown. Cunningham got what he deserved and so did that nitwit from ohio. But you my juvenile jerk, would allow the likes of Jefferson to keep on serving. When I hear the Democrats screaming for his head, Maybe I'll change my opinion. Both parties, bradley brainless, have their share of crooks. I want them all out.

yeah, you have a point, when members of a party do something corrupt, they ought to be thrown out, regardless if it is a democrat or republican.
