Our Mother of Perpetual Victimhood was speaking in Fresno yesterday. She was inside the Satellite Union at Fresno State.
Outside were some counter protesters, some of whom were also mothers who lost sons in Iraq. Robin Butterfield was one of the women there that had lost a son.
According to the video by KMPH, Fresno, some of the folks there engaged MS. Butterfield. Most, according to the station's video, were polite. There was one, however, that crossed the line of decency. The man is evil. It's one thing to disagree, but what this man said was evil. it wasn't just over the line, it was patently evil. Evil is the only word I have that even comes close to describing this oozing pustule on society's backside.
Watch this video. It's about a minute and a half in.
The station does not identify him by name. He is identified merely as a member of Peace Fresno. For the sake of expediency, we will identify this person as "Pustule".
Mr. Pustule asked the counter protesters if they'd lost someone in the war. An unidentified mother said she did and Pustule said how. The woman said he saved a hundred other marines. Pustule than says:
"Bless his heart! Did they go out and kill and rape; sodomize some children in front of their parents?"
What an absolute loathsome thing to say to parents who lost their children. I don't like the Sheehag. She has an intellect rivaling a basket full of turnips and I think she uses her son's death for her own gain, but I would never, ever disparage her son and his comrades in front of her (or any other time for that matter!).
Many on the left are extremely ignorant of the military, the caliber of military people and what the military is trained to do. Out of the hundreds of thousands who've served in the war, the percentage of servicemen and women who have committed crimes against the enemy is extremely small. Yes, some bad apples exist and when they are caught, they are dealt with.
Pustule obviously rivals the Sheehag in intelligence.

VW,
One of the questions I always ask when the subject of war protesters comes up is, what good are they expecting to accomplish? I joined the Army in 1976. That was the first year of the all-volunteer Army. What do these idiots think has changed since then? Not one soldier fighting today has gone into the military unwillingly. Their families are proud. When a soldier dies in battle, pride in what that person chose to do and their dedication to duty and country are the few things the grieving familys have left. So again I ask, what good does it do to diminish the sacrifice by calling the death a waste, or saying the war is wrong and the soldier has been murdered by the president?
Protesting a war waged to protect America,a war fought by soldiers who volunteer, a war initially supported by both parties, is the depth of self-centered idiocy. It could only be a grope for some sort of attention that causes an American to act this way.
I believe that the streets of our country are becoming more and more crowded with people who need psyciatric help. They need to be institutionalized. We are witnessing a symptom of degenerated mental capacity shared by a growing cross-section of America. These people, who have lost the abiliity to understand logic, who are unable to share grief and offer support, should do the right thing and just shut the fuck up. They aren't helping. And we will not forget who they are and what they are doing, just like we remember and never forget what people like Jane Fonda or John Kerry did.
It didn't make it right, but at least back then there was a draft. That gave protesters a marginal moral defence, which today's protester does not have.

VW,
KMPH has done something with the video, I believe, I can not view it. Although it might just be the web nanny that my work uses... but anyway, I am certain that the individual is in hiding, since he said that in one of the reddest parts of California. Being from Fresno, and knowing its ilk, I have no doubt that if he is from the city, he will be delt with appropriately. EVERYBODY knows you at least 3 different ways there if you've lived in Fresno for any stretch of time. I personally think that someone should just give him a "mushroom stamp" on the forehead, and then call it a good day.

GMT - I think YouTube has it. I checked my link and it's still there. Also, the site that tracked this has it on their site as well. I don't wish violence upon the guy, but he certainly is asking for it.
Articman, Exactly. There is no draft. They are all volunteers.

Very cruel. I don't think the person was the epitome of the left, I think he is of the ignorant and tactless crowd.
I also think Cindy Sheehan has been manipulated for the left's purposes and doesn't realize how it's made her look.

It's just not the guy there in Fresno - again, I'm surrounded here by such as this "pustule" (but I'm plotting my escape).
I wish I could find it, but it was a few days ago that I saw it, where Cindy goes on to speak of the mothers of the fallen who protest her as (and I'm paraphrasing here) brainwashed mothers of murdered by Bush soldiers and she feels sorry for them. Actually I think my paraphrasing comes out nicer than what she did say. Just go to Michael Moore's or Code Pink's sites (if you can stomach it) - she's quite prolific there. And not very nice at all as when she has the camera on her.
