Ever heard of Spike Jones? He was the “Weird Al” Yankovich of the 1940’s and 50’s. He led a band called Spike Jones and the City
Slickers and they did all kinds of parodies. Perhaps their most famous parody was “In Der Fuehrer's Face” It was originally part of a Donald Duck
short. Spike didn’t do the music for the
movie, but his version is the best known.
It was a big hit in 1942. It crossed the Atlantic and it is said that Hitler was enraged by it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Here's Spike

Now, I have a real treat for ya tonight for our second parody.
When we first went to war with the Taliban, there was a plethora of parodies that hit the airwaves. I have a bunch on my hard drive somewhere, but I haven’t heard anything new in a while.
So I had a new one written. I even hired a professional musician to write and perform it. OK, I didn’t “Hire” anyone, but I did ask a professional musician to write and sing it. She enthusiastically took on the project. The professional musician is Mama Stephanie, aka Mrs VW. Mama Stephanie is indeed a professional musician. When we met, she was a working musician in Las Vegas and she still plies her trade here in the northwest.
She wrote parody to an old song called “The Tattooed Lady called “For Usama and the Al Qaeda Boys.
Keep in mind, I don’ have a professional studio. We have a MIDI capable keyboard she first recorded the music with. It took three programs to get this recorded and part of the pod cast. First was the software to record the MIDI, then another to convert it to an MP3, then a third to put it all together.
It turned out pretty good. We hope you enjoy it.

My wife actually wrote the lyrics and played the music. She is, in fact, a professional musician, who did, in fact, work in Vegas for many years until I came and took her away from all that.
