Need your hair done? How about some make-up? What do you pay your hair dresser? 35 bucks? 50? 150? Make-up, how about make-up. 25-30 bucks for the essentials over at target, or a couple hundred at Nordstroms? (I'm not sure what make-up costs, I'm guessing, but I don't think I too far off.)
Hillary Clinton, that woman of the people, the alleged Democratic Presidential front runner, has her campaign pay 1000 - 1500 a throw to do her royal do.
And her make-up. Nothing but the top Hollywood make up artist for the queen of cutthroat. 2600 dolars worth!
And of course the campaign pays for it - or as she probably calls it, the Royal Treasury. Oh, her and John Kerry share the same hair dresser.

No matter how much money she spends, it's not going to help. I find Hillary unnerving. I liked her husband, but there's something about her I can't put my finger on, I can't read her. I am wary of people like that.

Russel Crow spent a hundred grand for a haircut. He first flew his styliist from Austrailia to the US, first class to where he was filming a movie. Then He put him up in one of the most extravagent hotels around and then paid him for all the loss of business he should be doing in Australia instead of Russle Crowe's hair.

I used to respect Russell Crowe, but he's become nothing more than a diva. I read an article in the newspaper on the weekend about how Crowe courted a journalist in the Australian media to write favorable pieces about him in order to rehabilitate his image. When the journalist put out the article it mentioned a few minor things about Russell, he threw a fit and never spoke to the guy again. Jerk.

Oops, sorry folks, I left out a word: "...a few minor NEGATIVE things about Russell." Hope that makes better sense.

I don't have anything against the Rich, nor do I really care is they are a bit ostentatious about it. A lot of people make good money off their excesses. What I think gets me is someone like Hillary. Instead of spending HER money, she spent campaign money. Which brings me to a point I think I'll make in a a rant post later on.

I miss the attitude of old money. You know, the WASP kind; shut up about how much money we have, live like we can't hardly afford anything and be miserly as hell when you do spend a cent. Old money never sickeningly flaunted their material wealth. Nowadays, when people are crass about being rich, which they often are, they lose all class and respectability to me right away. I'm so sick of the rich rapper thugs with their "bling", video ho's and pimped-out rides. Or southern white trash like Britney Spears getting her gum-smacking face on t.v. and in all the magazines simply because she's rich. You seen her lately? She looks awful and not just because she's pregnant. That piece of garbage for a husband of hers is making her miserable. So, where has all that money and fame gotten her? She should sink into the woodwork and quit courting the media. Maybe if she acted like old money, she'd finally get some peace. I know I would! Heh.

Old money did it in other ways. They flashed it, buy usually in a bid to outdo each other. They built huge mansions, with a Rolls for every day of the week. He who had the most servants won! Another way the flaunted it was through philanthropy. Museums, Concert halls, etc.

Hey, I don't care if old money competed amongst themselves, at least they kept it TO themselves. And competing in philanthropy, that's not really a bad thing. Today it's all so tacky and trashy. Look at the latest news headlines about Tori Spelling being practically destitute because her father only left her small amounts in his will and her mother won't give her any out of the big pot of 500 million. That whole story is just gross. First of all, who cares??!! And second, whatever happened to keeping family money matters private??!! Tori Spelling needs to get a life and a proper job. Poor Cinderella can no longer afford to go to the ball. Boo 'effin Hoo!!!
