UPDATE:
If after reading this and you want to help get rid of this POS Murtha, go here and donate.
Ms. Irey actually has a chance. A lot of soldiers are donating to her campaign from Iraq.
Thanks to my friend Goose at Political Nightmare!

Moth-Brain Murtha is an unpatriotic, anti-American POS that can take his alleged medals and his alleged service and shove them right up his backside!
He must make real marines cringe in disgust. He isn’t good enough or respectable enough to clean my cat’s litter box.
This is what this flake of dried effluvia said:
MIAMI — American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to an audience of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.
We are a bigger threat to world peace because of Iraq, then the nuclear threats of Iran and North Korea! Only someone so devoid of rational thought could make that statement and mean it. How can a man of his alleged accomplishments think that way?
North Korea is threatening to “test launch” a missile capable of reaching the United States and this imbecile doesn’t think that’s much of a threat? Iran is threatening to attack Israel when and if they get nuclear capabilities, and he thinks it’s less of a threat to peace than our presence in Iraq?
Clearly, Murtha needs to go. This statement is ample evidence that Murtha is a dangerous Left-Wing Extremist anti-American moonbat. The people of Pennsylvania need to dump him in 2006.

He really needs to be fired, I agree. One thing I do worry about though is if he gets out of office... will he be worse to us than he is now.
You know... like running around everywhere ALL the time making crazy speeches and all...

Check out Diana Irey at http://www.irey.com. she is running against him and needs all the support we can give her. She has a long road ahead of her to get the money she needs to unseat Murtha, who has occupied that seat for 32 years. But we do have a shot at it.

He is, of course, running something like 2-1 ahead of Irey in the polls. And troops returning from Iraq last week cheered the mention of his name at "Fort Murtha." There was plenty of praise for Murtha among those soldiers who know he's looking out for them first.

He might be ahead in PA. A lot of dead Democrats vote there, but I doubt the troops are cheering him like you say.
BTW. Lose the Reagan handle, find another. Not here.

Oh, how disturbing to use Ronald Reagan that way! Anyone who believes Murtha is looking out for the troops first is nothing short of delusional. He's a self-serving politician. To even suggest he's "looking out for them first" is incredibly stupid but typical of those determined to undermine what we're doing in Iraq.
Remember Mark Seavey? Murtha wouldn't even acknowledge him-a returning soldier-in a townhall meeting.
Murtha is an idiot.

Sorry, but Reagan is a hero of mine.
Also, this story is an error. The paper that ran the story is running a correction today. Murtha never said what he's accused of saying here. He was quoting opinion surveys and never said the US was a greater threat to peace.
And the cheers were real:

So some soldiers in his district like him. Yawn!
Lose the Reagan handle or you may not like what I change it to. Reagan is a hero of mine. You are no Reagan Conservative and you aren't worthy of the name. If you don't like it, bother someone else. I don't particularly give a damn.

This story has taken so many twists and turns, if you blink, you'll miss the next turn.
New developments are being being tracked at this news site:
http://theinfozone.net/JohnMurtha.html
A notable development: The original Sun-Sentinel's article written by Elizabeth Baier, has been removed from their site and replaced with Ms. Baier's revised story.
If any of you bookmarked Sun-Sentinel's original article that has made them famous for their "the shot heard around the world", check your bookmarked page now. The significance of this is rather overwhelming. This weeks' hysteria, and subsequent retractions and corrections is over something that "never happened".
Interesting to note, it retains the original publication date June 25, 2006, and The Sun-Sentinel did not note this story is a revision.

"Swift Boat Veterans for Themselves" ignored a couple issues CRITICAL to our troops at war during the run-up to the 2004 election.
First, they sat silent knowing full well that Bush NEVER USED the number of troops he incessantly claims his generals asked for. Turkey would not allow the 40,000 troops of the 4th to pass through and participate in Bush's invasion of Iraq.
Bush waged war KNOWING our troops were 40,000 short.
Second, these same Lookatme! Showboaters sat silent when this very same troop shortage resulted in America's greatest tragedy of the war in Iraq.
EVERYONE who's ever gone through basic training knows that when you find your enemies weapons, you keep them secure.
Hundreds of tons of high explosives that our troops had captured at Al Qaqaa were abandoned specifically due to troops shortages, CREATED by Bush's incompetence in war.
These explosive stolen from Al Qaqaa are the weapons that have been used to blow our troops into too many parts to count each and every day of this war.
When some pasty butt wimp, like Larry Bailey of bootmurtha.com, decides to pass his "gimme' some money" collection plate to support his concept of patriotism for a circus tent performance at The Cambria County War Memorial on October 1st of this year ...
Some would say there's nothing more patriotic than putting a moron who's never given a hoot about our troops at war (or he would have spoke up about those 40k troops left behind and Al Qaqaa IN 2004) in his proper place ...he's a coward.
To make matters even MORE entertaining, Larry Bailey actually thinks having John O'Neill, the original Lookatme! Show Boater, as his surprise guest speaker is a feather in his cap.
You may not like the stand John Murtha has been making, but for anyone who supports our troops at war, there's no way to respond to these idiot Swiftboaters' Reunion in Murtha's home town of Johnstown, Pa, than a chorus of Bronx raspberries.
I hope this clarifies.
