First, I went to work. I have sick leave and vacation time available, but I went to work. I spent the day working along side two LEGAL immigrants – one from Southeast Asia and the other from the Dominican Republican. They, too, could have taken benefit time, but chose to come to work instead.
I hired a landscaper to work my front yard. He worked all afternoon today. He isn’t an immigrant, not that I wouldn’t hire a legal one.
I bought gas for my car, but I had no need to shop, otherwise.
My wife is at work as I type this. Her usual Monday night out with the boys. She directs a fledgling men’s chorus.
I’m sure my soldier son-in-law in Iraq didn’t take any time off. My teacher son-in-law did not. My step-daughter had a busy day at the bank as a teller. Her brother had a symphony gig down in Vancouver, WA tonight.
Everybody worked, shopped and went about there lives as usual.
Bottom line – we diq quite well without illegal immigrants invaders, thank you very much!
And this Friday, come Cinco de Mayo, I intend to wear red, white and blue and eat an all American Meal.

Here, here! All was perfectly FINE AND DANDY here "without illegals" as well.
I woke up, got the family up and dressed and took my daughter to school.
Dropped my son off @ grammies for the day and the wife and I went to work.
I filled up the car (all while not even noticing the price of gas) and bought myself a steaming cup 'o joe.
Went home, ate dinner and put the kids to bed, and you know what... not ONCE did I notice any lack of 'population' involvement on my day.
I think I'll follow your lead and wear as much "america gear" as I can muster on Friday.
