The Tyranny of the Minority
I AM AN ENGLISH SPEAKING AMERICAN!
Does that offend you? If so, Tough! Leave my country you un-American piece of bacteria toxin. You don’t deserve to live here and enjoy this country. Go to what ever crap-filled corner of the globe you might find more compatible with your idiotic sense of loyalty.
(CBS4) DENVER Arapahoe County is threatening to fire a veteran Public Works employee for promoting the fact that he is an English speaking American.
Whose country is this anyway? Where is it written that you can’t say that?
Liberals – Do you really want a country that does this?
"Some of your conduct ... is reprehensible and discriminatory to our non-English speaking and/or Hispanic workforce. You are in violation of ... guidelines which ensure a workplace free from harassment and sensitive to the diversity of employees."
The guy has a sign on his truck that reads, “Lawn Services Done With Pride By An English Speaking American.” He also has a picture of an American flag and his phone number. The guy has a landscaping business when he is not working for the county. Some idiot at the county complained and this is the result.
What is reprehensible is what this county is doing to this guy.
He’s hired a lawyer and I hope he sues the Bee-Hay-Soos out them. I hope the little Stalin in Arapahoe County that did this loses his job because the county is force to pay big time.
If he had a sign that said “Proudly Bi-Lingual” or a "Proud Spanish Speaker", or a “Great Farsi Speaker”, no one should care!!!!!! There is a first amendment and it isn’t just for “non-English speaking and/or Hispanic” workers.
This, my friends, is an example of the concept called “tyranny of the minority” and it needs to stop now.
Good Luck, Mr. Gray.

Amen, VW!
Tolerance is supposed to go both ways - but it doesn't.
That's just ridiculous!
Angry Sam - LOL - I've heard that before.
We speak the same language, but you would hardly know it.
I especially have a hard time with understanding Scottish accents. I know it's the same language - but for the life of me I can't understand what they are saying.

I'm pretty sure that even in England they capitalize England, English, and American; that they would put a comma after the word "England" above; and that they would write "anything" as one word. (The OED lists it that way.) So I'm not sure how well-situated you are to pass on what qualifies as English and what does not. I note you don't seem to have any trouble understanding this website, your protestations about non-English notwithstanding . . .
