Cyclical Tragedy
Seven people were shot dead this morning in Seattle. It is a terrible and unfortunate tragedy. The last one dead was the shooter. When police arrived, he put the shotgun into his mouth and pulled the trigger. There will be all kinds of investigations and revelations in the coming weeks in months about the shooter and his victims.
However, this is not about the shooter or his reasons. This is about a comment by a parent of one of the party attendees. From KOMOTV NEWS:
Nancie Thorne told The Seattle Times that her 15-year-old daughter, Suzanne, was in the house when the man opened fire. She hadn't heard if the girl survived.
The girl's boyfriend, Jesse Mullens, called Thorne Saturday morning to say that they had gone to the house following an electronic dance party on Friday night - a "zombie rave," Thorne said. They were about to leave - Mullens was waiting outside - when the gunman barged in.
What in the name of everything sacred and profane was this 15 year old girl doing out all night? Apparently with Mom’s permission it seems.
Mullens told Thorne he heard a lot of gunshots. He thought Suzanne was stuck somewhere in the house with the shooter between her and the door.
"It's the worst phone call a mom can get," Thorne said, crying. "She shouldn't have gone to the rave. I've never approved of those things. ... I just hope to God she's alive. And if she is, she's grounded for life."
Lady, if you didn’t want her there, why didn’t you stop her? It’s obvious you could have else you wouldn’t be talking about grounding her now! You let you daughter run around all hours of the night, not having any idea where she is at or what she is doing or who she is with. You are an absolute moron and a failure of a parent. You should have started grounding her a long time ago!.
Now I hope this moronic pustule on society’s backside finds her daughter, but if she is alive, perhaps CPS ought to consider taking her away from this steaming pile that gave birth to her.
It’s probably too late anyway. I can just imagine this Li’l Darlin’ is already badly damaged goods between the drugs and diseases. And my guess is, if she survived, she’ll probably give birth before too long to her own Li’l Darlin’ and the cycle will start over again.
Thanks to Wizbang for their Track Back Saturday!

It is a very sad thing that this had to happen and it is worse to find out that a parent would let a 15 year old girl stay out all night and not be frantic when she finds out that she could possibly be dead. This type of poor parenting plays itself out throughout the country, unfortunately this had a horrible outcome.
