Democrats and Crime

You just have to love the Democrats – especially when they want to make the appearance of being tough on crime for an election year.  I say appearance because Democrats are really not tough on crime.  A Democrat is a criminal’s best friend.

Here in Washington, You can get almost as much a sentence for leaving your car running unattended, as the guy who decides to steal it.  It ain’t smart to leave a car running because some scumbag crack head might come along and decide to take it to his next buy, but if he does, it’s your fault for helping him out. 

Now the Democrats are getting tough on child predators.  Oh yeah, they are s-e-r-i-o-u-s!  Listen to this.  25 years in the slammer for a child sex predator.  That’s tough for a first offense.  But you know there’s a catch if the Democrats are sponsoring it – and there is.  25 years unless it is a family member, then nothing changes.  Yep, if Chester the molester is step-dad, he can get off a lot easier.  95% of child rape is committed by a family member.

The Republicans, who are the minority, have a counter bill that includes everyone.

Come election time, I’ll remember.
