Harry Belafonte is the archetypal barking moonbat anti-American scumbag. Hugo Chavez is a Socialist dictator, more in the mold of Josef Stalin than Fidel Castro. From ABC:
American singer and activist Harry Belafonte called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world" on Sunday and said millions of Americans support the socialist revolution of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.
How is it that the lefties see Communist crackpot dictators like Chavez and Castro as being “democratic” and even saintly? There is no democracy in Cuba and Venezuela, or in the case of the latter, there soon won’t be. Chavez controls the press and TV through draconian laws restricting political commentary and speech squelching dissent. Look for political parties to be banned and opposition leaders to mysteriously disappear, murdered for others to see, or jailed.
If you look at pictures of Chavez in action, you quickly notice the ubiquitous huge portraits of his face, angelically looking upward. Chavez is cultivating the infamous personality cult ala Hitler, Castro, Stalin and Kim Il Sung and Saddam,
Belafonte is an old has-been calypso singer who should have faded away out of the limelight decades ago. Why the press gives this racist piece of crap any ink is beyond me. What confounds me even more is why Belafonte isn’t condemned for his idiotic blathering similarly to Pat Robertson when he opens his mouth and inserts his foot up to his knee. It must be the unwritten diversity code. You can beat up on an old white conservative when he says something stupid, but the words of someone like Belafonte are sacrosanct. Robertson says that the US ought to assassinate Chavez and he gets beat up and rightfully so, but it’s OK for Belafonte to call President Bush all kinds of names and accuse him of being worse than Hitler and the MSM laps it up like it’s sweet dairy cream.
Again, like Robertson, I don’t wish Belafonte ill, I just wish he’d shut up. And if he says something inane, the press should finally, and rightfully, excoriate him
On the other hand, maybe he'll just stay down in Venezuela if he thinks it's so great. Nah, he knows better. Really he does.

Lefties, and I mean the most vocal lety lefties. Beleive anything is okay in the name of class abolition and financial equalization. What these lefties with too much time on their hands don't have the forsight to see is that if it ever happens they will be working on the collective farm right along with the commrade republicans singing praises to or more equal great leader...lest we get shot. Some entertainers and lifetime professors forget that they will lose their cushy job to some one more connected with politics. But by time the lefties realise this they will be singing "great leader ho!" along with the rest of us.
And by 'the rest of us' I mean those republicans unable or unwilling to resist such a regime. Which doesn't include me.

Simply the enemy among us.
This man and others like him are a cancer in this country, nothing more, nothing less.

Amen!!! I think Belafonte and Glover should be criticized just as much as Robertson. See my post on my blog.
