Michael Crook is an angry young man. You may not remember him because people like him have a habit of disappearing into the crevices of society like the roaches they are. Crook originally put up the website “Forsake the Troops”. He’s no liberal; he’s a white supremacist that thinks the American military are tax sucking scumbags. He also advocates killing pigs (police officers) as well.
Crook is apparently the one behind the death card that ended up in the hands of Joshua Sparling. Michael signed it “Miguel” as you also may recall. From his website that you can find (no referrals from me):
For those that have e-mailed or IM'd me regarding the card sent to Joshua Sparling, yes I did it. I do not regret a minute of it.
I even included a jab at my detractors, by signing it "Miguel". Here in the photo, the card obviously made it to its intended destination, his hands and his hospital room. Enjoy that, tax-sucking scumbag!
Oh, and for the veteran scum at various, randomly chosen VFW halls across the country-- including Fountain Hills, AZ; Dayton, OH; Syracuse, NY; Mays Landing, NJ; Houston TX, and more.... you're welcome for your "special" cards and faxes.
He garnered 15 minutes of fame with his Forsake the Troops venture and now he’s looking to suck 15 more minutes out of the limelight.
Crook is a carbuncle on society’s collective backside. He’s delights in the perverse. The attention he gets from this crap is what he craves. My guess is he never really got a lot of positive strokes growing up. He was mostly ignored as a kid and only by acting out and saying outrageous things got him the attention he craved, albeit from a backhanded slap.
There is one other possible explanation for his irrationality. At some point during his formative years, something traumatic happened to him. It could have been his parents divorcing, someone close to him dying or perhaps he was molested. It made him angry and he never got over it or sought help. Essentially, his social development stopped or slowed because of his anger and may have caused a personality disorder. I’m no psychologist, but those are my guesses.
One last thing, other than some kind of miracle, no matter what anyone says or does, he won’t change. His psychosis may even get worse to the point that in order to get the attention he so desperately craves, he will commit a crime. I hope not. At some point, some veteran or soldier will hunt the guy down and beat the hell out of him. I hope that doesn't happen either. That would only feed his sickness.

Crook used to haunt a bulletin board where I visited a lot.
I'm not sure of any of the guy's true beliefs. It seems like he's an attention monkey. Even faked his death at one time to get sympathy.
The great thing about Mike Crook is his arguments are so flimsey that he's easy to tear apart.
