There are reports that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in Iraq.
The Elaph Arab media website reported on Sunday that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq terror group, may have been killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred while coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding. American and Iraqi forces are looking into the report.
There isn't anything I'd like than to know that this personification of evil is now face-to-face with Allah and he is finding out he is one of 72 virgins specially selected for a particularly sainted swine.
We've heard false reports before of his more than timely demise. Let's hope this one is the real deal.

Wow, that would be cool if the coward would have blown himself up. He never did a single act of terrorism, but direct others in what they were told was martyrdom. If it is true that would be a major blow to the insurgancy.

I would be hoping for a capture not a kill. Sure the guy deserves it for his actions but alive he could provide information that might lead to a major breakthrough in counter insurgency operations.
