After a little over 500 miles of taking our time and traveling some roads less traveled around the Evergreen State, we decided to cut our trip back and come home today. Snoqualmie Pass was scheduled to get a blast of snow tonight. We decided not to mess around and came back early.
We traveled through the Grand Coulee Dam Area and over to Omak. Our original plan called for us to go from Omak to Kettle Falls and back home, but some unexpected snows in the high country plus Snoqualmie’s problems made us decide to play it safe and head back. I-90 through Snoqualmie is also down to just one lane each way up near the summit because of major rock slides.
I have chains for the car but I really hate having to put them on in the snow. I carry them just in case.
So’ I’m back. Gotta catch up with the news.
