The Reverend Mr. Kerry is running for President again. He is no longer just the hardened, combat veteran. He saw the light. A pundit he read after his defeat said it was religious conservatives that helped fuel his loss. In this incarnation, the Senator from Massachusetts, and by the way, a Vietnam veteran, is now a learned theologian and Biblical expositor. He is in Iowa lecturing the faithful about God, Jesus and Government. HALLELUIAH!!!! Praise the Lord! Can I hear an amen?
The Massachusetts senator said it is good that religion has become more of a part of the public dialogue in the country as long as faith translates into action.
“Faith without works is dead,” Kerry said.
Tell it Brother John!
Except that I’d probably be pretty close to the truth if I said that John Kerry has only the vaguest of idea of what that means.
James 2:20 (KJV) says:
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Excuse me Senator Botox, I’ve read that you have a faith; I’d like to know what you mean by works. You come from money and married even more money. What exactly have you done personally to demonstrate your faith? You see Senator, my Bible (James 2:18 KJV) also says:
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
So what example are you setting for me? Show me thy faith.
The Reverend Mr. Kerry goes on to explain:
“I can’t find anything in any religion anywhere, I certainly cannot find anything in the three-year ministry of Jesus Christ, that says you ought to take health care away from poor children or money away from the poorest people in the country to give it to the wealthiest people in the nation,” Kerry said.
Ahem, Senator Filthy Rich, as one of the wealthiest people in the nation, how much of your personal wealth did those poor people give to you and shouldn’t you consider giving it back? How much of your personal money are you using, outside of your taxes, to help people with? According to you, all of us poor people gave that money to you. Do you mind if I ask for a few grand back? Did you forget this verse, Senator Gazillionaire:
Mark 10:25 (KJV) It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Well Mr. Kerry, I’m not a learned theologian and I’m not a biblical scholar. You're right, I can’t find anything in my Bible about taking health care from poor children. I can’t find any reference to being taxed for such things. I can’t find anything in my Bible telling me how much in taxes I should be willing to pay to support some idiot politician’s idea of Christian faith and works.
When we die, Senator Pompous, and face our judgment, no one will ask us how much in taxes we were willing to pay to help sick children. No one will ask us how much in taxes we paid to help the poor and the down trodden. No one will ask us how much in taxation, by the threat of imprisonment, we paid to help those less fortunate. No, Mr. Kerry, no one will ask us any of that. What they will ask is a bit harder for any of us to answer
I believe God will ask us what we were WILLING to do individually, and without the threat of force by the government, to help the poor and the suffering. God is going to ask me what I did with my money as a willing servant, not what was coerced from me through taxation and the threat of jail.
Jesus said to obey the law and render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. Fine, I pay my taxes. But what counts is what I do with the rest of my money. You see, I believe it is my responsibility to care for my family, not the government. God is not going to ask me how well the government responded to my obligations.
So take your phony idea of works and stuff it into one of your botoxed facial wrinkles. What you fail to understand Mr. Kerry, is that the definition of works is not taxation. And what you also fail to understand is that most people of faith know this and that is why they didn’t vote for you the first time and will most likely not vote for you this time either.

Tell it, brother VW, can I get an Amen?
Now, I aint religeous by any stretch of the imagination, but it looks like (and it is) the same thing he was doing during the campaign trail. Pandering to peticular groups, saying what they want ot hear. Sad really, pretending to be a man of faith for a few more votes.
