Hugo Chavez is the Marxist dictator of Venezuela. About once a week, to incite the masses, he usually spews some ridiculous anti-American tirade. Usually, it’s the standard, “The American running dogs of capitalistic terror are coming to invade us for our oil”, or something like that. He always rants that he has proof of our forces massing somewhere, poised to strike at any moment.
I know and so does anyone else with half a brain that it’s nonsense. He is a commie dictator and that is what commie dictators do. His buddy Fidel mumbles something along those lines every now and then as well. Like I said, it’s what commie dictators do.
Now it appears that Chavez is on to us for real this time. He’s got the goods on us and I want to see the Evil Karl von Goebbels Rove™ squirm out of this one!
President Hugo Chavez cautioned Venezuelan parents to protect their children from Halloween with a spooky warning that the US tradition is rooted in "terrorism."
"What they have implanted here, which is really a 'gringo' custom, is terrorism," Chavez said, quoted in the local press. "They disguise children as witches and wizards, that is contrary to our culture."
We’ve been had! It's an obvious Rovian plot to spread Halloween around the world. Once the kids start dressing up in costumes and begging for candy, are American troops far behind?

His comments came after authorities in Caracas recently seized pumpkins, cardboard skeleton costumes and other traditional Halloween items inscribed with anti-Chavez messages.
These items were secretly dropped in the dead of night to covert pumpkin patches by Navy Seals from gliders launched from hidden airfields Aruba.
When his secret police spotted kids in costume, they liberated the costumes, candy and squashed the squashes. They arrested the kids and made them talk (Vee Have our Vays, Comrade!) and the kids spilled the beans about the nighttime drops. Maybe I could sell the movie rights to this!
If Chavez wasn’t a brutal Marxist dictator, this would be funny. Oh but because he hates George Bush, you lefties fawn all over him.
Communism is responsible for the deaths of untold millions of people. Stalin alone made Hitler look like a rank amateur. These days, you all say you aren’t like the old Commies; you are the new and improved Commies. Yep, I believe it. Just like I believe Hugo Chavez.
Oh and that Halloween thing. Most likely, it was brought back by folks who’d lived here and thought it was a fun thing to do. I doubt the CIA or Karl Rove has anything to do with it.
