Saturday, I start school. It won’t be easy and my blogging will probably suffer. That may be good news for some, I suppose. This isn’t an announcement that I am giving up. On the contrary, I’m in contact with Ewebscapes.com to have them design a new header for the blog. Look for that sometime after November 1st.
Anyway, blogging will have to take somewhat of a back seat. It’s an on-line course through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Embry-Riddle is a top-notch university and is highly respected. They boast several astronauts among their alumni, as well as a slough of aviation industry leaders.
It’s been awhile since I’ve tackled anything this tough. I’ve had some college, but this will be the toughest yet.
My future in my present position is precarious. Not because of me or my performance. I was just put in for a promotion and raise. It just isn’t me; it’s my entire shop/work group. Changes are afoot (There is a pun there but none of you would ever get it unless you worked here) and the company wants to make themselves more competitive for the next contract in 2008.
Instead of whining about the evil corporation and exploitation and all them other socialist victim words, it’s up to me to make myself more employable. Instead of crying about things that I have no control over, I need to take charge of those things I can control.
Let me end this by thanking each and every person who has stopped by and at least read something. I hope you found something you enjoyed. To those who leave comments, you are the best – including most of those who disagree. (There’s been a couple who’ve been twits) Also thanks to all those who blogrolled me and or have this site bookmarked.
Let me also thank my wife who whole-heartedly supports me in my blogging and in my decision to head back to school. Most men would kill to have a wife like mine!
All of you make it worthwhile and I hope to continue for a long time to come.
VW

Good luck, VW. You have your head on straight and should do well.
