From FOXNews.com - Politics - NARAL Withdraws Anti-Roberts Ad.
"We regret that many people have misconstrued our recent advertisement about Mr. Roberts' record," said Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America
That's their spin and they are sticking to it! No one "misconstrued" it. That ad was meant to make you think that John Roberts supported violence.
The only one misconstruing anything was NARAL.
I said it in comment to some gal who tried to prove it wasn't false. I'll say it here. If you think Judge Roberts supported violence, then you have to be stupid. Perhaps I should amend that. Either stupid, or such an ideologue that you can't even think for yourself anymore. Maybe the same thing.
NARAL knew this ad was nothing more than a hit piece. When even some of their liberal friends started questioning the veracity of the ad, they had no choice. They had no cover. They pulled the ad.
My guess is also the blogosphrere played a big part in it. You just can't make stuff up any more. Cindy Sheehan - take note. You are next.

Oh I see it clearly now, It was my fault for misconstruing it not theirs creating the smear campaign. Silly me.

It's always your fault! After 25 years you haven't figured that out yet!
